“The Dream Team” Envirothon team from CASH (Conneaut Area Senior High) took First Place at the Crawford County Envirothon on April 27 at the Crawford County Conservation District.

Members of The Dream Team are:  Collin Hearn, Maggie Battles, Julianna Jacobs, Maria Poff and Nathaniel Turner (left to right in photo). They will represent Crawford County at the PA State Envirothon on May 25, 2022.Their team Advisor is Erin McLaughlin, a Biology Teacher at CASH.

Other winners were:  Second Place: Titusville “Timber Ticklers”, Third Place: Saegertown High School “Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers,” and Honorable Mention: Saegertown High School “Horney Toads.”

Envirothon teams compete by taking tests on their knowledge in five subject areas: Aquatics, Forestry, Soils and Land Use, Wildlife and Current Environmental Issues.  This year the Current Issue topic is “Waste to Resources.”
