The Crawford County Conservation District received $2000.00 to conduct a Canadohta Lake Best Management Practices Initiative.

“This grant allows our Conservation District to address local pollution issues. We plan to educate local residents on how they can do their part to improve the water quality around Canadohta Lake via improved docking, shoreline stabilization, and enhanced stormwater control,” said Jared Prokopchak, Resource Conservation Technician.

An educational workshop will be held Saturday July 23^rd, 2016 from 9am-11am at the Bloomfield Township Municipal Hall (22978 Shreve Ridge Road). This will be followed by several outreach days where a representative from the Conservation District will be working out of the Bloomfield Township municipal office providing technical assistance to walk-in residents. These times and dates are: July 29^th (8am-4pm), August 3^rd (1pm-4pm,) August 8^th (8am-12pm), and August 19^th (1pm-4pm).

Twenty-eight projects will be funded in 24 of the state’s counties. Projects include agricultural field days, rain barrel workshops, stormwater tours and more. For a complete listing of awarded projects, visit http://goo.gl/kqddR0.
