An Alternate Way to Farm Crop Fields

An Alternate Way to Farm Crop Fields

Here is an example of an alternate way to farm crop fields. Fields that have steep slops can have serious erosion problems, especially if planted with a crop that has a very shallow and miniscule root system. To help prevent erosion, strip cropping can be implemented. By placing strips of a heavy rooted crop between rows of a not so rooted crop, water velocity is slowed causing less soil erosion and uprooting of crops.
